Please explain the issue you experienced in the most condensed way possible
3D characters are wrongly rendered and have very silly deformities, see attached pictures. Can't play the game without laughing my ass off.

Please explain how to reproduce the issue
Launch the game, happens everywhere no matter on the game settings or save game.

Is there anything else you think could help us identify/replicate the issue?
Using openSUSE Tumbleweed. GFX card AMD R9 290 with amdgpu drivers. CPU Intel i5-4590. Kernel 5.10.4.
Tested also happening with Ubuntu 20.10 and Fedora 33.

Used to happen only when using steam from repos, and was OK with steam flatpak, but now it is happening also with flatpak version. Maybe libraries issue?

I have this exact same issue, also using an R9 290 and amdgpu (except I'm running Ubuntu 20.04).

I posted about it a few months ago, sadly got no replies. Back then I was using a bleeding edge repo for my graphics drivers. Rolling back to the default drivers that come with Ubuntu fixed the issue. Later upgrading to 20.10 made the issue reappear again, so I rolled back to 20.04. Sadly now it's back again, I'm guessing 20.04 is using newer drivers now as well? I'm not playing much at the moment, so I haven't bothered installing older drivers yet. Might be worth it to give that a shot.

Seems to be a rather specific problem with this GPU in combination with the latest amdgpu drivers. So far I haven't seen anybody else reporting the issue except for you. Does not bode well if turns out to only affect our specific set-up, as there don't seem to be many others like us.
