Please explain the issue you experienced in the most condensed way possible
every pop-up window in the game is corrupted and can't be clicked through. it happens at every interaction/decision/random event. don't know what caused it

Please explain how to reproduce the issue
any time a pop-up window comes up it is broken; I don't know how it became like that.

Is there anything else you think could help us identify/replicate the issue?
I just replaced my computer after having lost my previous one in a fire. I got the same model so everything should have worked smoothly since I never had any problems on the previous one.
