Short summary of your issue Performance of this game can become nearly unplayable on good hardware
Game Version 1.0.3
What OS are you playing on?
Mac
What platform are you using?
Steam
Do you have mods enabled? No
Have you tried verifying your game files (Steam only)?
Yes
How much "pain" is this causing you?
8
Please explain the issue you experienced in the most condensed way possible
The Pope is crusading against me. I hold nearly all of Britain and some additional duchies on mainland Europe. With troops crawling all over the game is stuttering like crazy. It's nearly unplayable. Heck, even in non-wartime it still chugs from time to time, sometimes just scrolling around the map. Turning down the graphics doesn't do much. It gets so bad at times that clicks often don't even register. The thing is, I'm on reasonably good, modern hardware:
i7 6700k
16GB DDR4 3200mhz (And I'm not hitting the swap file)
Radeon Vega 64
2TB PCIe 4x M.2 SSD
Mac OS 10.14.6, up to date
This easily exceeds the minimum requirements. I can play far more demanding games with this with considerably better performance. I know there's a lot going on behind the scenes in this game, but this is bad, guys.
Please explain how to reproduce the issue
See above.
Is there anything else you think could help us identify/replicate the issue?
