Autosaves cannot be unzipped - they are unzipped already, thus using 10x more space than necessary.
Autosaves cannot be edited - they are ironman encrypted (binary dump) and thus unusable for anything.

I am attaching a picture of what an autosave file looks inside. This is not a zipped file, this is an ironman file, unzipped.

Autosaves should be zipped but unencrypted instead - wrong function was called on saving regular saves.

Please explain how to reproduce the issue
Let the game create an autosave. Open it and it's binary/plaintext instead of plaintext/zipped.

Is there anything else you think could help us identify/replicate the issue?
Wrong function was called on saving regular saves - encrypt instead of compress.

I have attached a save game
Yes

Is it actually encrypted or just a binary dump? Paradox might have found serializing the binary to text and then zipping it taking too long for autosaves so they went with the path of least work (on the game's part)
