Short summary of your issue Made my heir the wrong person and eventually caused game over.

Game Version 1.02

What OS are you playing on?
Windows

What platform are you using?
Steam

Do you have mods enabled? No

Have you tried verifying your game files (Steam only)?
No

How much "pain" is this causing you?
3

Please explain the issue you experienced in the most condensed way possible
My first character died, became the heir, her granddaughter. For some reason the heir to all my titles was now my mother, of a different dynasty. I do not think the succession laws would cause this. I had a sister. And many other dynasty members descended from the first character.

Please explain how to reproduce the issue
Not sure? Have a grandchild (possibly specifically a daughter) inherit with no children?

Is there anything else you think could help us identify/replicate the issue?

It should help to clarify this situation.

I had a similar issue. My first character died, leaving two daughters. The realm was divided according to the confederate partition law. My mother became my primary heir despite having male preference succession and having a younger sister and a male cousin who could have inherited. My mother also was the primary heir of my sister's realm, again despite the existence of a sister and male cousin.

I don't see the reason why my mother came before my sister and my cousin? She should not have been in the line of succession at all.

Cheers!

The wife of Enrico is now Queen after Queen Benilde died. Notice that Brunilde, the sister of Benilde, is still alive, but did not inherit.

The succession law is confederate partition male preference.

If this is supposed to happen, that's fine, but some clarity would be nice if that's the case.

I had the same thing occur. Ireland, Tribal, Confed Partition, Male Preference. First character died with tons of kids, primary title (and player) passed to his 1st son's daughter (1st son was deceased). Now the granddaughter's mother is the heir to her primary title(!), though the "player heir" (I assume who I get kicked to if the daughter dies before having kids) is still one of her uncles (original character's other sons).

@Qloc_Chaotic Evil, you can pull the save file I uploaded for a different issue if you want to look at the dynasty tree and succession laws: https://forum.paradoxplaza.com/foru...t-raid-as-female-tribal-irish-leader.1416202/

I just had this exact same scenario play out, except with a Finnish ruler, and in addition to this issue, the dynasty head passed on to my new character's uncle, her vassal. All in all a messy inheritance for all the wrong reasons.

i think, i had same problem.

Situation:
my character (male) inherited duchy title and one county
my brother inherited two counties (and now he is my vassal). Few months later he died and those two counties inherited his daughter (his only child). Now the mother (different dynasty) of this daughter is primary heir for both counties.

Law for all titles is: partition, male preference

I've had a similar issue. Just reformed my faith 1 generation ago, my player heir is my half brother under enatic-cognatic confederation partition when I have two daughters and a son all of my house from my matrilineal marriage. My children are set to get *nothing* on succession.
