Hello ritualsauce,

Thanks for reporting this issue.

Can you please try verifying game files on Steam, via the Right Click > Properties > Local Files > Verify Integrity of Game Files.

This is occurring on Windows Game Store / Xbox Game Pass version. I am attempting a reinstall at the moment.

My apologies! Let me know if the reinstall helps matters. If it doesn't, please try updating your drivers.
This hasn't resolved my issue. I have further gone on to completely delete all local files for the game and reattempt launching the game. This also does nothing to stop the error. All of my drivers are currently up-to-date.

We require the crash report folder of the related session to properly investigate the issue.
Please attach the zipped CTD folder here.
CTD folders can usually be found at: C:\Users\[USERNAME]\Documents\Paradox Interactive\Crusader Kings III\crashes

I have had some success reloading into the game by closing out all Xbox/Windows Store related programs then launching the game directly from the file directory as an administrator. I will update if the game continues to crash during play. This issue seems to be caused by a lack of necessary permissions for the Paradox Launcher through the Xbox app for Windows.

I have the same issue. installed via steam

I have re-installed the game, re-installed to a drive that isn't my steam drive, verified integrity of game files, and checked for driver updates.

I do not have a crashes directory to paste - as the game doesn't even launch.

CTD folders can usually be found at: C:\Users\[USERNAME]\Documents\Paradox Interactive\Crusader Kings III\crashes

There is nothing in this folder, even after multiple crashes. The game is once again crashing on various screens during gameplay, pre-game settings, etc. I have turned off all of my anti-virus and firewalls and reduced all of the game graphical quality settings to the lowest possible level. This game should run on my computer easily but it continuously crashes or does not load at all.

I am in a very much similar situation as well. I dont have C:\Users\[USERNAME]\Documents\Paradox Interactive\Crusader Kings III, so i cannot find any crash list. Also when i launch the game, it looks like this:

I have updated all my drivers and also tested with and without firewall, however the result remains the same :(.

I have also verified integrity of cache, uninstalled and reinstalled on different disks, but its the same result.

Hello all. Please try these steps:
  1. Verify integrity of games files (or clean reinstall on Windows Store)
  2. Update your graphics drivers
  3. Restart your machine
If none of these solutions work, please add your DxDiag to this thread. The dxdiag executable can be found by searching for “dxdiag” in the Windows start menu.
Please use the "Save All Information" button to generate a log file and attach it here.
On MacOS, the system information is available by clicking “About this Mac” in the system taskbar..
On Linux, open a terminal and write “sudo lshw”.

I have the same issue but with Linux (OpenSUSE Leap 15.2).
NVidia drivers got updated to newest version (450.66).
lshw dump included also.
