Short summary of your issue
Launcher on CK3 keeps loading my mods and do not let me do any change on them

Game Version
1.4.4

What OS are you playing on?
Windows

What platform are you using?
Steam

Do you have mods enabled?
Yes

Have you tried verifying your game files (Steam only)?
No

How much "pain" is this causing you?
5

Please explain the issue you experienced in the most condensed way possible
if a launch the game on steam with or without the mods on or off we can read "loading again your installed mods"

Please explain how to reproduce the issue
I remove the folder Crusader Kings III from the Paradox Interactive folders, launch the game from steam then it is the only time when I can turn on or off mods, after that with or without being active (mods)I I start the game, play and save my progress, inmediatly close the game and re open the launcher and then you can read the message "loading again your installed mods" again with mods on or off.

Is there anything else you think could help us identify/replicate the issue?

I have attached a save game

No

I have already uninstall the game, remove all the launcher and game files, I remove all the mods, and even after I reinstall the game without any mod the launcher keeps saying the same thing.

List of thing I have done

- unsubscribe from all mods in BOTH the Steam Workshop and the Paradox mod site mods.paradoxplaza.com
- delete the folder Documents/Paradox Interactive/CK3/mod/
- delete the file Documents/Paradox Interactive/CK3/mods_registry.json (if present)
- delete the file Documents/Paradox Interactive/CK3/launcher-v2.sqlite (if present)
- run the game up and check the launcher is okay with no mod or other errors
- subscribe to a few mods

- run the game up and see if those mods are now available to you.

And this too

- exit the Steam app entirely
- uninstall Paradox Launcher v2 from the Windows "Apps and features" utility, if still present.

Delete the following folders if still present:

- C:/users/<UserName>/AppData/Local/Programs/Paradox Interactive/
- C:/users/<UserName>/AppData/Local/Paradox Interactive/
- C:/users/<UserName>/AppData/Roaming/Paradox Interactive/launcher-v2/
To see the AppData folder you'll need to enable View Hidden Items in File Explorer.

- run steam.exe as the Windows Admin user

- run the game from the PLAY button in Steam

this is all that I have tried so far, no idea why the remove my post without even get an answer, it is so sad how hard it is to try to get some help.

I have to say that it works one time after I do those steps, but if I close the game and re open the game I would get the same error, I getting tired, I have to spent my weekend trying to fix this.

Hey there!

Apologies for the delay! I can definitely see why it can be frustrating for you. I'd like to see if we can troubleshoot this further, namely - how did you end up with your mods broken? I've tried replicating it on my machine multiple times and my mods load correctly, which makes me suspect that some lingering settings and files when you remove the game (perhaps in Documents) are affecting this situation, in which case I would suggest you make a copy of your CK3 and Launcher documents and delete them from the directory, reinstall the game and launcher clean and see what happens then.

Let me know if it works or not and we can take it further.

Hi, thanks for your time first that all, I realize that I had not one but two mods that were not available anymore on the steam workshop and for any reason the launcher was not able to load any new mod if the launcher could not find those mods, so after I remove those to two mods from the list everything works fine, I hope paradox can take a note of this and they patch this situation (Idk like saying to the launcher: hey if you do not find one mod just jump the next one and download it), thanks again, have a nice day.
