Please explain the issue you experienced in the most condensed way possible
High Crown Authority laws (and Absolut too I assume) from different realms override one another under certain circumstances.
Please explain how to reproduce the issue
The save is prepared to test it from the get go with a murder attempt. The issue happens with Navarra, vassal of Francia, ruled by a child and inherited by an HRE duke (second in line is the said duke's son). Both Francia and HRE have (3)HIGH crown authority, meaning neither should lose land upon sucession.
1st run (both realms having HIGH CROWN AUTH): just procced with the murder attempt; Navarra will be inherited by the main heir and an entire duchy from HRE will suddenly belong to Francia, despite HRE's crown authority.
2nd run (both realms having HIGH CROWN AUTH): switch to HRE emperor, give the title Kingdom of Germany to the Duke that is to inherit Navarra and proceed with the murder. HRE will keep it's duchy and Navarra (belonging to Francia) will be inherited by the second in line, the duke's son, Michael.
3rd run: lower France's crown authority to (2)Limited and murder the kid. HRE loses land regardless, and despite the fact that now it has a higher crown authority than France does.
Also as seen on the screenshot France does receive a notification that land will be lost upon sucession, even though that doesn't happen. The HRE doesn't receive any notification for this issue at all.
This whole thing is quite game breaking (it happened to me on my previous game too and lost and entire Kingdom without previous notification nor proper reason). Please take it a good look.
Is there anything else you think could help us identify/replicate the issue?
Fooling around with titles of different ranks. It's clear that title ranking overrides crown authority. In this example a Duke inherits a Kingdom title (a small one at that) and breaks off with his current liege (Emperor level) of all land he has (de Jure land for that Empire included)... uh? That can't be right. And if this isn't a bug, then it needs rework.
However, if that Duke IS given the rank of King, then inheritance is split appropriately, to each its own.
I would also attempt to back off from the murder attempt, switch to France and lower crown authority, then attempt the murder again. Perhaps if the event has already fired it's considering the previous Crown Auth instead of the new one? This is just an assumption, I've no idea. (Nevermind this, I tried it... nothing changed).
