Short summary of your issue Gathering levies is spamming units that require individual "stop gathering"

Game Version Argent

What OS are you playing on?
Windows

What platform are you using?
Steam

Do you have mods enabled? No

Have you tried verifying your game files (Steam only)?
No

How much "pain" is this causing you?
9

Please explain the issue you experienced in the most condensed way possible
In endgame, around 1440, and i have 200k+ levies. DOW and commence gathering armies. Game immediately creates 25+ units, most of which are at rally point. I only need 20k levies for this war, but each of these armies must be individually told to 'stop gathering' before i can get things to happen.

The Argent patch introduced supply-based rally-point levies - i think this is a bit nuts really, i didn't mind the way it was before.

Please explain how to reproduce the issue
Open attached save game and behold the magic, also see screenshot.

Is there anything else you think could help us identify/replicate the issue?
Fire up a game with huge levies and declare war on someone.

I have attached a save game
Yes

Hello!

Thank you for the report!

As you noticed, it's our new supply-based rally-point system of raising units and it's WAD. I also recommend you to place a couple of rally points in your realm and use "Raise Local Army".

Cheers!

Thanks - but with larger armies, you have to either manually stop gathering for 30 different armies, or wait until the entire army is raised before moving from rally point.

I submit WAD sometimes means rethinking and refining the design, if WAD means 35 mouse clicks are necessary to start combat!

Multiple rally points are sometimes inappropriate and unnecessary. Eg attacking a small duchy through the single mountain pass that gives access.

I think this is going to be a bigger deal for larger realms, but that's how the endgame typically plays out.... I hope you can escalate this, thanks.

If the intention was to make the system as inconvenient for the player as possible, then it's definitely WAD.

It's completely a broken system. The intent is to handicap those of us who use MAA stacks.

In terms of helping Levies, it does nothing. It still raises levies in places that can't support the quantity.

The stated purpose is broken. It does not work as described. Also, the intended purpose (to nerf those of us who use MAAs extensively) can be circumvented, but it's inconvenient. This "helpful feature" needs to be deprecated ASAP.
