Please explain the issue you experienced in the most condensed way possible
At least twice that I've noticed, a courtier has vanished from the game: one was a concubine spymistress brought to court via Befriending; the other was a champion forcibly recruited during a war of sacrifice. Each were in entirely separate new games, in both cases on the first of a month, unrelated events happen (the end of a war, someone accepting a deal, etc) and in the case of the concubine suddenly I have a notice that I have no spymaster, in the case of the champion I notice one of my armies doesn't have a general anymore. They disappear as if they never were; they appear in no relationships or events; sadly in the case of the concubine there had not been any children yet so it couldn't be determined if she would have vanished from their parent tree. Both cases were sudden and inexplicable, there did not seem to be any murder or forcible recruitment (if the AI can forcibly recruit the player's courtiers at all), there had been no granting of titles or marriages that might have sent them with another character. It's entirely possible some event did happen to them, but there was no visible information to be found.
Please explain how to reproduce the issue
So far, I cannot. thankfully I never play Ironman, so I'm able to reload an autosave, and so far it's never happened twice to the same character in the same new game. It if very much lightning out of the blue.
Is there anything else you think could help us identify/replicate the issue?
The only thing I can think of is forcibly recruiting or seducing/befriending/romancing as many new courtiers as possible and watching for it to happen. I may have to start recording plays just to be able to give you something to go on. Save file shows the character missing, screenshot shows the character being recruited (after I loaded the autosave, of course). and one save that has the character recruited, prior to the time of the character going missing.
I have attached a save game
Yes
