Short summary of your issue
Commander Choosing is Insufficient

Game Version
1.3.1

What OS are you playing on?
Windows

What platform are you using?
Steam

Do you have mods enabled?
No

Have you tried verifying your game files (Steam only)?
Yes

How much "pain" is this causing you?
10

Please explain the issue you experienced in the most condensed way possible
War declared, invite ally to war, ally with 3 martial skill and 4 units (all champions) decides to tag along with my 3k army helmed by my leader whose got about 30 martial, nearly two full trees in military filled out including buffs to significant warfare buffs from them.

Ally with 3 Martial somehow becomes the 'commander' of the army, and causes me to lose that battle hard, and then the next one even harder, it ended my run (not exactly a short run either).

Please explain how to reproduce the issue
Form an alliance or have a house member be invited to join your war, watch in horror as their 4-unit strong all knight army with their glorious 3 martial becomes the 'commander' for your forces and causes you to lose the war.

Is there anything else you think could help us identify/replicate the issue?

If the one that was automatically selected isn't well enough in your opinion to lead the army, you can always choose another.

Cheers!
Doesn't the OP mean the selection of commander for battle from among the commanders who lead the stack of different armies on the OP's side in the battle?

If I understand it correctly, the worse commander belongs to an ally and cannot be replaced with someone else - and that becomes a problem if the game chooses him to lead the player's side over the player's own commander, who is significantly stronger and has a more numerous force. (I've had something like this happen at least.)
