Please explain the issue you experienced in the most condensed way possible
I'm a bit perplexed that this long-known bug hasn't been fixed yet, so I'm re-reporting it. Just ruined an ironman game and left a very sour taste in my mouth.

When a member of your family/dynasty/court returns from the Varangian Guard, any children they had while in Varangian service remain behind in the Byzantine court. There is no way to get them to your court except kidnapping them, capturing them, or waiting for them to grow up and inviting them. This, obviously, ruins any attempt to actually raise your own heir or heir's heir.

Please explain how to reproduce the issue
In the attached save file, the only child of my player heir is stuck in the Byzantine court.

Is there anything else you think could help us identify/replicate the issue?
This has been a known issue for years, so I don't know what additional help you need.

I have attached a save game
Yes
