Short summary of your issue Can't Reduce Vassal Count

Game Version 1.0.3

What OS are you playing on?
Windows

What platform are you using?
Steam

Do you have mods enabled? No

Have you tried verifying your game files (Steam only)?
No

How much "pain" is this causing you?
9

Please explain the issue you experienced in the most condensed way possible
The game gave me a notification telling me I have more vassals than my limit, 44 of 40. I started transferring earls and chiefs to various jarls in my kingdom. I created new Jarldoms and transferred vassals to them. Now the Realm tab says I have 17 tribal and 13 feudal vassals, but it also at the bottom says I still have 44 of 40 direct vassals. I'm not sure how this is possible because according to the Realm tab itself I have 30 direct vassals. I can't grow my kingdom anymore without massive penalties, and this is an Ironman save.

Please explain how to reproduce the issue
Try transferring any earl or chief to a duke or jarl. The direct vassal count does not update. It does this right from the beginning in ANY start.

Is there anything else you think could help us identify/replicate the issue?

I can reproduce the issue, it seems to me when you transfer vassals the count does not update. Releasing a vassal(granting them independence) will update the count.

I would recommend renaming the title of this post to "Vassal count does not decrease when transferring vassals" since "Can't reduce vassal count" seems a bit obtuse.

No thanks. It will stay the way it is because the tools provided to reduce vassal count while keeping them your vassals obviously don't work.

Speaking of obtuse...It is obtuse to have to grant independence to your vassals to reduce your count...

Yeah I agree with your point, I was just trying to help from looking at it from a development perspective. I'm sure they'll see it anyway. Didn't mean any offense!! I just know as a developer myself it is much easier to fix bugs when the issues are described as precise and specific as possible. Seriously, I was just trying to help get this bug fixed, it's annoying!!

It's very annoying, considering I am a software developer myself and this is something that SHOULD have been caught with basic testing. This is a required feature for the game to work properly.

I am getting annoyed with doing Paradox's tests for them after having paid for a finished product.
