Please explain the issue you experienced in the most condensed way possible
When you ask a courtier to join Holy Order the popup says the courtier will leave your court, but they actually stay at your court.
In practise only close family members will leave the court - the popup doesn't mention that.

Please explain how to reproduce the issue
1. Find someone at your court eligible for joining Holy Order (but not from your close family).
2. Ask them to join Holy Order.
3. Popup says they will leave.
4. When they join Holy Order they actually stay at your court.

Is there anything else you think could help us identify/replicate the issue?

I can confirm the OPs issue - here is a save to reproduce:

1. Ask my courtier Helferich to join an holy order. See that the pop-up claims that he will leave, if accepting my proposal
2. He will accept and gets the modifier for having joined the order but will still be around in my court afterwards

So either this is at minimum an interface issue (if its gameplaywise really intended that way for non-family characters) or - what I actually hope - an actual gameplay bug/oversight, which gets adresses (because it both breaks immersion for me and is a cheesy way to boost your knights)

I'm not sure if that one has made it already in Paradox bug database, as this thread didn't get a label...but this is still a problem v1.6.0.1:

The attached save allows to ask Roi to join the order and to see that we will happily stay at my court afterwards.
