Can not marry main character or heir and no obvious reason why.

She was imprisoned and married beyond my control, got divorced and released only moments before succession.

Bit of further investigation done. My character is concubine for a chief of Bardak, which would explain why I can not marry. However there is nothing indicating this and since that particular chief is outside diplo range there is nothing I can do but wait for him to die. Not sure if there is anything to do even if he would be in range.

P.S. Tried to take a screenshot but it produced black image.

I have the same issue. I think it's because this character was a concubine on inheriting my main title, but I cannot find who my man is/was. Also, despite having 5 children, I do not have a heir displayed for my main title, while my main title will be inherited by a dynastic heir (if I look at the title window)

I also play on Steam and Linux.

So, screenshots. This is me. no spouse. No possible spouse. No heir visible. And, if I'm a concubine - there's not really a useful way to know - there's no handle for my man which I can use to murder him away.

Just to add onto the previous posts - I too have this issue, and thanks to their hints, I found out that I too am a concubine of a foreign ruler.

However, that ruler is inside my diplo range and I know who he is (his character panel does list me as a concubine) - and yet there is no option to "divorce" the relationship.

As a bit of context, the character I am playing was imprisoned by that foreign ruler during a war, and was taken as concubine while she was in prison. However she was still my primary heir, so upon death, she became the independent ruler of my realm. Noticeably, I did rescue her from the prison before her mother, my previous character, died.

So now I have a free Empress, located in my capital, unable to marry. Murdering the ruler would theoretically be an option I suppose, but my character is Honest and Just with an intrigue skill of 0, so this is a bit of a showstopper at the moment
