Please explain your issue is in as much detail as possible.
Whenever I receive a ducal/theme viceroyal title (either granted by liege or returned to me when my viceroyal vassal dies), my own top-level succession laws (e.g. kingdom inheritance laws) switch to primogeniture. It's as if the inheritance type for viceroyalty (which seems to be primo) overrides whatever my own kingdom laws are.

This has happened when I am feudal myself and when I am a tribal liege of the viceroyal (My liege is Basileus, I am tribal, with feudal vassal).

Several times I've worked to change my kingdom succession law only to have it force-reverted when I am given a viceroyalty. First noticed this bug late 2017.

Steps to reproduce the issue.

Started as count of Seleukeia. Conquered duck of Cilicia. Made elective. Received Viceroyalty of Cibyrrhaeot. Got reset.

Deleted save by annoyance ><

I'm sorry, is there anything you can show me to support that claim, cause for me it doesn't make sense to me, how a temporary title should overwrite the permanent one.

It's been like that since 2.4:
https://ck2.paradoxwikis.com/Patch_2.4

"The succession law for non-viceroyalty titles for viceroys will now always be primogeniture or open (if muslim)."

But the problem was that when a title (already non-viceroyalty) returns to his main owner (king/emperor), his main title (kingdom/empire) laws change to one, not that said viceroy has primogeniture. Definitely not WAD.
