Please explain your issue is in as much detail as possible.
Several cultures do not properly use unit packs, this is particularly prevalent in the 769 start. Franks incorrectly use the Germanic models from the reaper's due content pack, and Saxons use the generic early western units.

The 00_cultures.txt file seems to be the culprit.

I have managed to get the old Frankish units back by changing the line 302 from
Code:
 graphical_cultures = { germangfx frankishgfx westerngfx }
to
Code:
 graphical_cultures = { frankishgfx germangfx westerngfx }

For the Saxon units a similar fix is possible by swapping englishgfx and saxongfx at the lines 448, 506 and 562.

Please note that doing so will also change the portrait art.

I hope this is helpful.

it seems like this bug should be fairly easy to fix if paradox is able to make Saxons use the Saxon units with English portraits
