Please explain your issue is in as much detail as possible.
Playing as Basileus of the Byzantine Empire, I reformed Hellenism with Temporal authority. Election for my primary title is Agnatic-Cognatic Imperial Elective, but succession for the Pontifex Maximus title is listed as "Agnatic-Cognatic Elective", with no electors or candidates. It appears in effect to simply default to Agnatic-Cognatic Primogeniture, as it went to my old ruler's eldest son on his death, instead of the new Basileus.

Steps to reproduce the issue.
Playing as Byzantine (or Roman?) emperor with Imperial Elective succesion, become the Pontifex Maximus of the reformed Hellenic faith.

Ran into the exact same thing as mentioned above. Here is a screenshot of it in my current Roman Empire run.

Edit for clarification, I had set my religion to equality and that is why it's Absolute Cognatic.

Yeah Bohemia mass converted I think and then they had a child of destiny spawn (who is I think 79 in that save now). I keep hoping the kid will die from old age soon, seeing as soon I will be surrounded by Muslim Kingdoms/Empires.

I was coming on here to make the same post.

I dont know if it's a bug, but I've run into the exact same situation as the OP. The Temporal title seems to want to follow my eldest son, who is not my preferred heir using the Imperial succession mechanic (Incidentally, my eldest child - a daughter - is the preferred heir. I was hoping the title would go down to her. No dice).

My work around at the moment (Havent fully tried it), is to grant the Temporal leadership title to my preferred heir through the viceroyality mechanic. Hopefully, when my Empress kicks the bucket, it'll just stay with my female heir)
