Please explain your issue is in as much detail as possible.
As independent farbas of Manding and Ghana I pressed a courtier's claim on the county of Wagadu (spelling?), which is de jure part of Ghana, meaning he should be my vasal after the war. After I won the guy became independent chief instead.
I later vassalised him diplomatically, so there's no screenshot to show, but hopefully the save will still show the data?
