Post recent update CK2 wont succesfully load

I believe it updated to 3.0 but it doesn't reach the menu

Please explain your issue is in as much detail as possible.
After the recent update but before I purchased Jade Dragon & Holy Fury the game was failing to load. Seems to crash around the loading graphics point. Tried uninstalling and just loading from the base game without any mods but it still crashed. Is there a bug fix coming through to fix issues from the latest update (that seems to have caused lots of these sort of issues)
