One line summary of your issue
Pope Keeps Cancelling Crusades

Game Version

What expansions do you have installed?

Monks & Mystics,
The Reapers Due,
Conclave,
Way of Life,
Charlemagne,
Sons of Abraham,
The Old Gods,
The Republic,
Legacy of Rome

Do you have mods enabled?
Yes

Please explain your issue is in as much detail as possible.
Playing a game that I started after Holy Fury dropped, but I don't own that expansion. Playing a 769 start. The Pope is continually calling and cancelling crusades. I understand that there is a mechanic for the Pope deciding to cancel a crusade, but he is doing this over and over again, and it has reduced Catholic Moral Authority to zero. It seems as if he calls one as soon as he can, and then cancels it. It is skewing the way the game plays because as a Catholic I am now devoting all my time to trying to convert counties.

Steps to reproduce the issue.
Start a game in 769. Better start in the British Isles or Italy, since Islam will march into France and Western Germany. Play until crusades start.

I am playing with the mod "Theatrum Orbis Terrarum" which is a map skin mod.

I can confirm this. Islam gets to be very powerful in 769 starts and I notice the percentage of power from nobles that join the crusade for christians rarely gets above 75% while Muslims routinely get 125 - 200% or more. This is especially frustrating since every cancellation reduces MA by 10%.

Can confirm as Norse: I blobbed and reached a point where I control France, England, Germany, Saxony, Empire of Scandinavia, and other misc. titles. Pope calls a crusade every two years, and the relative strength is a joke (1500%+) in my favor. He cancels the Crusade as the timer runs down, and then promptly calls the exact same Crusade again, with the same result.

This creates a pop-up storm when you're the target for a few months, every two years. Extremely annoying.

And I can't fix it because, once I realized that there were only 3-4 catholic bishops in the world, I engineered a situation where there were no cardinals to be elected. Upon the Popes death the game auto-generated a character to be Pope. If the crusade mechanic is going to be this annoying, please let us knock off that religion entirely if it's failing hard enough.

Having the same issue on the 1066 bookmark with all addons apart from the china one and conclave.

Pope cancels the crusade while there is plenty of support (300+%) and i made sure there was lots of money in the chest.
Crusade got cancelled at random times but reloading the save would get it past that point up until the moment there is only 15 days left. Then it cancels every time.
It happened on different savegames (one with conclave enabled) and different characters played.

Noting that the defenders are only at 31% and the target of the crusade is not in that list. Not sure if relevant.
