One line summary of your issue
Pope excommunicates Kings of Jerusalem (w/ bonus bug!)

Game Version
3.0 PXTU

What expansions do you have installed?
All of the above

Do you have mods enabled?
No

Please explain your issue is in as much detail as possible.
Christians won the first Crusade. My dynasty beneficiary was named King of Jerusalem. I noticed within a few years that the King had been Excommunicated. That King died fairly young and his successor was also Excommunicated. The third in the line took over not long after that, and was also Excommunicated.

First of all, I don't know why Christian Kings of Jerusalem would be Excommunicated, especially with such frequency. There seems to be some kind of AI vendetta against the bloodline. (See the screenshot below of the bloodline - it says "Sultan" in the title, and I don't know whether that affects things.)

Second of all, the third ruler in line took over as a toddler . . . and was immediately Excommunicated. Is that working as intended? Under what circumstances can a child be excommunicated? (See other screenshot below.)

Steps to reproduce the issue.

I can testify that I've seen excommunicated children as well. Indeed Charlemagne usually gets excommunicated as well even after defeating the Lombards.

Talking about the Lombards.... The Lombard king is from 769 start "permanently" excommunicated.... Due to having a province in Latium which ... now atl should be possible to give independence but when it belonged to dejure Italy didn't. However AI never solve that and is permanently excommunicated by all popes personally. Likely this penalized charlie as well prior to 3.0.
