patch 3.0 can't load save games

What expansions do you have installed?

Please explain your issue is in as much detail as possible.
I accidentally started CK2 post 3.0 patch (Haven't bought Holy Fury so didn't think my game had changed), reverted to 2.8.2.1per instructions https://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/index.php?threads/how-to-roll-back-your-game-version.1121392/
First start after reverting load crashed; now CK2 won't let me load any game except to go back 45 years in game history.
Not acceptable; please bring back the game I love so I can continue my dynasty/empire where I left off last Friday.
