Please explain your issue is in as much detail as possible.
So a bulgarian king has liberated himself from the Byzantine empire (with a 100K army !!), and the next step he does is declare holy war against my catholic king of Hungary ... is this WAD or a bug ? As long as I can remember Christians cannot declare holy war against fellow christians unless they are some sort of heretics.
I noticed this for the second time that an Orthodox character declares holy war against a catholic character.

P.S what is with the super OP of liberation armies ? Once they get triggered I see 50K-100K stacks !!

Do you have mods enabled?
Yes

1) What mods ? Any that might potentialy change the behaviour.
2) Orthodox can't declare holy war against other christians, except if they are heretics.
3) Isn't mending the schism turning catholics into heretics of orthodox ?

1) The mods I have involve music and shield cosmetics only, I doubt they have anything to do with the game mechanics. Anyway this is the list:

2) The catholic ruler (my king of hungary) is not a heretic, he is of the catholic faith and he follows the pope as the head of religion
3) The schism did not mend in my game, catholics are still catholics and orthodox are still orthodox. Papacy still hold their ground and the orthodox have their patriarch

Could the bulgarian king, or at least the one that started the war, been of a different religion
and converted to orthodox later on ? The area often has slavic or tengri provinces.
At least in early game. So i could imagine that there was a religious revolt of sorts, though
your numbers sound far too big.
Hmm...

Anyway, i'd suggest to upload a save file or two.
