Please explain your issue is in as much detail as possible.
With 5,000+ grace you can ask China to declare war on someone to splinter their realm. It lets you join the war on China's side if you want.

I was double-teaming the byzantine empire with China, in my game the Byzantines had gotten really powerful. When my ruler died I was automatically dropped out of the war, all of the holdings I sieged went away. I also couldn't "offer to join war".

To be clear, China was still at war with the Byzantines but I wasn't, and I couldn't get involved again.

To fix this I'd make it so that the war continues after the ruler dies... this makes more sense because if you're fighting with China to double team a big power it's going to take a long time. It doesn't make sense that if I declare some minor one province conquest it persists after my ruler dies but in this empire-spanning epic war the death of my ruler abruptly ended it.

Love your games Paradox devs!

Steps to reproduce the issue.
Get 5,000 grace > ask China to splinter an empire > join their war > have your ruler die

Hello,

I just tested this issue and couldn't get it to happen, dying did not kick me out of the war. Do you have a save where this is reproducible from? Hopefully before your ruler died.

Thanks for your report.
