I have a landed female character in a county, and her heir is her son, who is not a bastard, but also has no listed father and is of her dynasty and not his. This seems to have occurred because the father died a few months before his birth. One would expect that the predeceased father would still be listed as the father and pass along his dynasty, rather than that of the mother's.
