This is more a funny quirk than a bug, but I don't think it's WAD.
My nephew became an adventurer and rose an army against me, attempting to seize the Byzantine Empire. I crushed him, imprisoned him, and, suddenly -- before I released him from prison -- he gained the opinion modifier that he loves me. With a huge bonus!
Not sure what that's all about, but the kid's got spirit. I nominated him successor and the realm agreed.
Steps to reproduce the issue.
Start date Charlie, Byz Empire.
Crush your nephew's rebellion and see if he loves you.
