Please explain your issue is in as much detail as possible.
African Tribal masks are always displayed on your character's portrait even when not leading troops.
As such, once you've crafted a mask, usually on your first character, you're stuck with every character looking like that mask (unless you unequip it).
Considering it takes up your entire portrait, and in your dev diary you talked about having the gear switch between when you are leading troops and when you aren't, I can't imagine this was intentional.
Steps to reproduce the issue.
Equip a mask. For convenience sake, I have uploaded a save with a mask-holding character.
