Please explain your issue is in as much detail as possible.
Children vassals under the age of 10 can't be asked to switch to the heritage focus. You can ask that they switch to heritage focus if they aren't your vassals but your vassals children, but if the child inherits a title then you can't ask them, the decision doesn't even show up.

Do they have a different culture from you and the educator? Maybe it doesn't work because they're already the same culture?

The whole reason I'm asking for them to take the heritage focus is because they're a different culture and I want to make them mine, which is what this is for.
