One line summary of your issue
[3.0] Anti-pope created during crusade prep instantly excommunicates his followers

Game Version
3.0 (PXTU)

All of the above

No

Please explain your issue is in as much detail as possible.
I was playing as a vassal of the HRE. The pope called a crusade, and I pledged my troops. After I had pledged but before the crusade actually started, my liege set up an anti-pope. Since the real pope was no longer my religious head, I was automatically kicked out of the pledged crusaders. The new anti-pope then immediately excommunicated me (and became my bitter rival) for dropping out of the crusade. The event text implied that the anti-pope was angry that I had broken a promise to him by dropping out of the crusade.

In this scenario, I would expect to be kicked out of the crusade, and I would expect the real pope to be angry with me for it. But I would not expect the new anti-pope to be angry or excommunicate me since the crusade is not his and it is impossible for me to remain in the crusade while having him as my religious head.

Steps to reproduce the issue.
I have not tried to reproduce this since it was in an Ironman game, but the steps that led to it in my game were:

1) Have the real pope as your religious head
2) When the pope calls for a crusade, pledge your troops immediately
3) Have your liege set up an anti-pope before the crusade starts. (It's probably the same if you set one up yourself, but I don't know since I haven't tried that.)
