- Launch CK2 press Play
- See in the bottom left corner of the main menu the game version [2.8.3.3] [SAHQ]
- Start new singlepayer game
- Resign and quit to menu
- See in the bottom left corner the game version [2.8.3.3] [RAHQ]

That's intended and not a bug.
To do with MP synching and such and thus to force the player to restart.
