In fact I seem to remember that trying to independently research something makes it more likely to spread to you.

Played 20 years test game as Byzantium. My emperor died week after game started, only thing he achieved was white peace with Seljuks. I was able to keep empire in one peace, even when my new emperor had very poor stats. Although I did have exellent courtiers. Only 2 rebelling vassals, which were quickly crushed. I even conquered Romania, Sicily and Apulia.

In Iberia things were quite normal. Castlile, which had inherited Leon conquered big parts of Muslim territories. And Aragon conquered Navarra.

France and England fought long war, over 5 years which ended when France paid money to England.

HRE seems to have problem with some Italian vassals. Toscana, Milano and Genoa were fighting against the Emperor. In Scandinavia Sweden conquered Skåne and in Russia Polotsk was crushed by Lithuanians and Livonians. Kiev was fighting against Cumans and winning. Also Georgia conquered some Cuman land. No crusades yet.

By the way, is there any chance of the "I could be a better..." events being changed so that declining to give the position to the besserwisser has a chance of making him stressed or depressed?

The event set is currently unbalanced for heirs, since they either come back very quickly or get a position at the other court (which could be abused by large families for purposes of "county-fishing", though perhaps only in theory). The player would think twice, however, if he risked making his precious favourite child and/or heir stressed or depressed by not giving them a decent position at his court, even if he sucks at what he wants to do. For large families, it could even serve as an encouragement to grant counties to the other kids (just to make them happy).

But then, to prevent easy abuse by just reinstating the former position-holder, there should be a good risk of losing him/her (or at least making him/her stressed or depressed) by handing over the position to someone else.
If the first even is set to fire a second event for the current steward, would it still fire for him even if a new steward is appointed in the first event (after the line that triggers the second event)?

1. Event 6913 and 6927 gives option a= OK instead of correct text from extra_text. The correct text is: You can only play after school(6913) and Because they shall be granted the kingdom of heaven(6927)

2. I'm playing as Duke of Flanders, I conquer Mecklenburg,Rostock and Werle. I kept Meckelenburg as my personal demesne and gave Rostock to my son and created a bishopric off Werle. Some years later both Werle and Rostock is a part of Germany. I get no message that they was deflecting to Germany.

Edit

3. In the advances screen the tool tip says that basilican structures gives Church. Thats not true, you need brickwork_structure and tilefactory.

There is at least one other province improvement that requires two technologies to build (Ironworks). I think of it more as an indication that "you can't build this improvement without this technology", not necessarily that the technology by itself is enough (i.e. there may be another tech prerequisite, there may be other improvements that must be built before it, and the terrain may not be quite right).

Ica - N/n

The KH events are stuffing up some of the scary mongol leaders. Can we exempt the hordes from those events?

Also I think they are a little overkill. Lowering one stat by 5 points is sever enough, let alone anything of the other effects. Maybe very small chances of getting some of the traits? You could also reduce their fertility to reduce the chance that the super stats spread?

That reminds me: there is a bug-like issue with churches. I don't think it affects the AI*, but it can certainly affect the player.

In some scenarios, some provinces (*cough* Byzantion *cough*) start with a rather big church - but lacks one or both of the church "levels" before it. This may also occur as a result of buildings being destroyed or sold, IIRC.

The problem is not only logical, in the sense that the smaller churches are supposed to be pre-requisites for having larger ones, but also practical: you don't get as much church bonuses without the smaller churches, and the bigger church (level 3+) effectively covers the "you can build this building" graphics in the province improvement screen. It is quite possible that the player will never even know of this issue because it's so unapparent.

* I believe the AI is unaffected because it doesn't have to use the graphical interface to build things.

This problem can be event-fixed in two ways:
* The bigger, prerequisite-less church is destroyed
* The player is offered the opportunity to build the smaller, prerequisite church

Basically, one event confronting the player with the situation and offering two ways out would take care of this "bug" and even make it seem like a feature. "Our great church is in need of repairs" has such a nice ring to it... :)

Muslim Duchy of Amman: MAMM
Suggested colour: DarkOrange

LightGray, DarkGray, DarkGreen, White (and now Brown) are all already used by FATI or large duchies so these colours should be avoided. Most other colours are reserved for the KoJ and its duchies or the Seljuk duchies a little to the north-east. DarkOrange is one of the few unused colours in the immediate area.

Phoenix, that's a scenario bug and no events should cause it to happen.

I got something similar with forts. I lost my hill fort via (a bankrupcy) event but kept my small fort (in RC E).

I am just a newbie trying CK out after a looong time. I tried being a vassal Dukedom under Byzantium. The rebelliousness event chain came up. I decided to be rebellious and eventually ended up getting the independence event. However, I kept getting the event asking if I wanted to stop being rebellious until my character died. The option to decline gave prestige, so I was able to rack up his prestige to almost 1000 before the guy died. Is this WAD or already mentioned?

Here they are. Amman get's the same colour as Leon. That is quite unusual that they border it.
Code:
MJER;DarkBrown;muslim;blue_dark;blue_dark;X
MAMM;DarkOrange;muslim;black_regular;black_regular;X

I mentioned it and MrT said he will make another event so we players can't use this as exploit anymore.

I really like the "door of bedroom opens ..." event but I (as Byzantium Emperor) had to sustain 4 of these events during my long life? I survived all four of them - altough the last one struck me with a severe wound - and finally died while attempting to "parental upbring" a bastard I had made at old age ...

this game is beginning to look like a diamond :D

Are there some nasty modifiers to this event ?

As Spruce just mentions I remember something I wanted to ask.

Could you change the chance of success of this event based on intrigue of the liege and the vassal? Right now it makes no sense when I get wounded by a vassal with 6 intrigue together with his spymaster while I have 24.

Unfortunatly the chance of a random part of an event succeeding can't be modified by conditions. All I can do is make the event much less likely to fire if liege has high intrigue (which I have already done and was added in RC-E).
