Oops!

I'll fix that. I was running short on time to get it finished this afternoon and obviously forgot about that. Oh...and I actually put those traits in as a joke. They were going to be pulled anyway. :p
The OOCish events or the somewhat literally insane effects of option b? (which, having thought of it some more, should probably do well enough with just a risk of getting Maniac - it'll give the character heretic soon enough, anyway...)

In case the "yes" applies to the events as a whole, I have a whole load of ideas (and ideas for ideas) on how stat modifiers could be handled (i.e. replaced) in events (in fact, I'll probably present them either way)... but you'd like me to hold them back until after 1.05, correct? ;)

(When was it due, by the way? I've forgotten the date, am unable to find it, and am starting to suffer from intoxication due to long internal exposure to ideas...)

Yeah. Hold off on them until after 1.05 (due to be released on Feb 23 barring major dissasters or our failure to achieve sufficient balance in time).

Arrghh... that's, like, 2 weeks away!

Can't I start posting them for discussion after your "input deadline for everything but emergency bugs" has passed? Would that disrupt or disturb anything?

Frankly, I'd prefer that most discussions re 1.06 stuff be postponed until 1.05 is finished, I don't want people focussing their commentary and attention on stuff that's for the future...unless of course everyone is satisfied that RC-E (as it stands right now) is 100% ready for official release. Somehow, I doubt that...

Keep in mind that there's some lead time required at our (Paradox's) end prior to release so you won't necessarily have to wait until the 24th. I hope that the final version will be ready by the 19th so we could start seriously thinking about (and discussing) 1.06 on the 20th, which is only 10 days from now.

The Emirate of Jerusalem (MJER) has the same colours in country.csv as its liege Fatimids (FATI): DarkGreen. It is also a likely revolter to be at war with FATI.
Can it perhaps be changed in time for 1.05 to a different colour, like Brown (not otherwise used in the area)?
Since these muslims hold 2 of the crusade targets being able to tell their borders without having to use the relationship map is a necessity.

Sure. I've just changed it in the country.csv so it will be in the next RC.

The same should be done with the neighbouring vassal (Amman?). It also has dark green.
Brown, too? Or something else?

Also, please post correct tag to save me time (so I don't have to go and look it up). :)

observations (100 years war scenario) =

- kingdom of Naples goes beserk - they control Naples, Scicily, Hungary ... :D ,

- prestige gains from events and stuff really need to be reconsidered. There are events that give you +100 prestige (how do you deal with local revolt) and there are events or actions that give you 1 or 2 prestige. I got this event that gives you +100 prestige 3 times for one ruler.

- religious conversion events are fairly common and come in different forms + success chances for religious conversions are quite high. I converted 4 out of my freshly conquered Turkisch provinces in 5 years time back to orthodoxy. Goes a bit too fast and too easy imho,

- there's not much incentive (or punishment) on keeping the folks happy ! You can get some rebs, and so what ? You just mobilise your troops and defeat them. I don't konw if events related to social class loyalty can be simulated. But a lot of "harsch" events that effect your gold - prestige and piety could be made,

the broadness on the amount of prestige gain should be reconsidered = from +10 to +50 would be ideal imho.

That would be a code-change, so after 1.5 is more likely.

I'd suggest this is actually something important enough to be included in 1.05 judging by the poll.

Though, I suppose it depends on how hard it would be to give it a minor tweak. It would seem just a question of moving a few decimal points around...

The amount of coding time CK is likely to receive before 1.05 is very close to or equal to nil. I'd love to see Martial have better effect myself too, I'd just not get hopeful about it before 1.05.

Wrong advances picture. My capitol is Brugge and I'm researching soft leather

Why haven't I got some knights? I have feudal law and plains.

A) Yes, you can have tech spread to you, while you're discovering it. It actually speeds your spreading too to be discovering it.

B) Check your province power meters, I'm thinking Brugge has very low Noble power, which you want high for knights.

Would it be possible to have characters with a high martial skill having a bigger chance of wounding/killing enemy leaders in battle (i.e. is it possible to trigger an event for a character on the opposing side in a battle)? The idea is that it'd eventually force the opponent to rely on "generic"/"anonymous" leaders... (although the slaughter might be a bit much if it is on any effective level)
