  • Generally disagree with putting the genocidals that wipe out pops in S-tier. Killing pops is objectively bad even if everything else is powerful, and in SP even on grand admiral you don't need the buffs of e.g. fanatic purifier to conquer a lot. This goes double with how research now directly scales to # of pops as long as sprawl is under control. Everyone BUT Fan Purifier and Co. receives an incredible burst of research upon conquest which spurs further conquest. And it goes triple for how these civics lock you out of federations and the galactic council, for whatever actual value that may be judged to be. But certainly with the power of envoys now everyone else can warm up with a nearby advanced start AI rather than just die.

    Disagree with putting Rockbreakers/Mining Guilds as better over time. Current sprawl/research means you can easily research endless +% mineral income nowadays around 2300-2325. As soon as you are smacking down repeatables in 6 months each there is exactly zero value in base resource production bonuses.

    For similar reasons all of the +unity bonuses should be considered worse over time since you just run out of stuff to spend it on around the same 2300-2325 timeframe, ending up with +xxx% edict duration and having every unity edict active simultaneously. And again for those other civics that boost edicts, you just don't need them when you have massive +edict bonuses by the mid game.

    Why is indentured assets S-tier while slaver guilds is A-tier? Just due to lack of competition from other megacorp civics?
