So far tis been boring. Been able to snoop 59 gold and Gibraltar from Granada in Castille's early war but besides that all I have been doing is spamming lvl1 and 2 advisors each year to get some cash and build an economy worthy of the name.
All other wars against Venice (with allies duh, and the ottomans) were inconclusive or just downright a waste of money. Losing the Cog or 1/3 of the army consisting of a grand 3 units. Went solo against the Ottomans when the timmies had them on their knees, but they were allied with the golden horde and the horde made peace.... concede defeat luckily.
1427 now and just waiting for a moment of weakness.
Situation:
- new grandmaster since a month: 7adm 8dip 8mil (god am I glad the old fools dead, had 8 infamy because of no casus belli wars + gibraltar, still not burned that by 1427)
- 5 merchants in Alexandria (am in the novo trade league as Venice didnt like me much)
- 2 man at arms and 1 cog
- catholic rhodes, misso in gibraltar
- dock and constable in rhodes
- 8% inflation but slowly slowly dropping now
and playing the waiting game...
Edit: Are the 2yearly events tied very heavy to the ruler? except for 2 or 3 events were I had an option to go serfdom or freesubject, ALL events were a choise between pay money or anpother option i could not afford ---> or -1 stab.
Each two year cycle consisted of losing a stab, gaining a stab, losing a stab. times 13
