Well, it's been six hours over three days with AoN and the map and here is what I came up with. Mostyl I tried to select a city that
a) existed back then
b) is more or less appropriate to the city icon on the map
c) is more or less appropriate compared to cities in neighbouring provinces
d) screwing all earlier points except a, was by far the most important city in the province boundaries

In no particular order the city names are as follows
Skane - Malmo
Savolaks - Mikelli
Tavastland - Lahti
Kola - Murmansk
Karelia - Belomorsk
Kexholm - Petrozavodsk
Ingemanland - Petersburg (NOTE: It was St. Petersburg from the dissolve of the USSR)
Estland - Talinn (Basically the same as Revel)
Olonets - Kargopol
Kazan - Kazan (Yekaterinburg is way east of there)
Ufa - Samara
Samara - Ufa (Typical map error)
Orenbug - Orenburg
Podolia - Kamenec Podolskij (The current city was within Austrian borders)
Krementjug - Yeakterinoslav
Bujak - Akerman
Kaffa - Yalta
Kerch - Novorossijsk
Wielkopolska - Lodz (Wroclaw is already in Silesia as Breslau)
Poznan - Posen (Sticking to the German names)
Vorpommern - Schwerin (cpaital)
Baden - Karlsruhe (likewise)
Wurtemmber - Stuttgart (likewise)
Krakow - Krakau (accually a free state bud too small to be represented)
Erz - Koniggratz
Ostmarch - Linz
Carpathia - Kaschau (sticking to the German names)
Ruthenia - Klauseburg
Magyar - Peszt
Pest - Buda (correct side of the Danube issue here)
Croatia - Agram (German for Zagreb)
Dalmatia - Zadar
Moldova - Iassy (capital)
Wallachia - Bucuresti (local language)
Albania - Durazzo (italian lingo)
Morea - Korinthos (Corinth in English)
Cyprus - Nicosia (capital, I believe)
Apulia - Taranto
Emilia - Modena (Parma was the capital of Parma, and Modena of Modena. BTW there is also Lucca there :))
Savoie - Briancon (acually French but the city here is DEFINATELY not Nice)
Zeeland - Rotterdam
Kent - Dover
Connaught - Galway (Londonderry is in Ulster)
Leinster - Waterford
Artois - St. Quentin
Nivernais - Troyes
Morbihan - St. Nazaire
Vendee - Nantes
Languedoc - Narbonne

Sudan - Khartoum
Bisahrin - Suakin
Kenya - Kismaayo
Lindi - Ibo
Mtawa - Mozambique
Sofala - Tete
Zambezia - Sofala
Kabinda - Luanda
Inhambane - Laurenco Marques (busy port, possible COT to stop the idiotic Bourbon one)
Natal - Durban
Ciskei - East London
Hainan - Qingzhou
Taiwan - Tainan
Zhejiang - Wenzhou (Three contract ports, thus the deicison to implement them)
Nerchinsk - Nerchinsk (colony)
Surgut - Surgut (SURELY a city)
Yukon - Juneau (I know it's not Russian bet better that than Yukon)
Rio Grande - Palo Alto (Matamoros was on the other riverbank)
Mesabi - St. Paul (older than Minneapolis)
Duluth - Duluth
Winsconsin - Ashland (failed to find anyhting good so tried to point out hte exact location in province and compare to map)
Oskosh - Green Bay
Sault - Marquette (as Winsconsin)
Michilimakinak - Lansing
Miamis - Louisville
Erie - Cleveland
Irondekoit - Erie
Mohawk - Altoona (as Winsconsin)
Bangor - Bangor
Penobscot - Portsmouth
Powhattan - Baltimore
Chespeake - Washingotn (Last time I looked on the map Washington was south of Baltimore)
Roanoke - Norfolk

Tennessee - Birmingham (the Alabama one)
Gander - St. Anthony
Placentia - Grand Bank
Micmac - Saint John
Isle Royale - Sydney (Charlottentown is on another island)
Megantic - Trois-Rivieres (wrong riverbank yet again)
Ticonderonga - no idea, the most accurate eu2/real map is St.-Jean-sur-Richelieu
Ottawa - Hull (guess what - yep, it's the wrong side of the river)
Shawingan - Louiseville
Nipigon - Sault Ste. Marie
Ontario - Fort William (Thunder Bay today)
Athabaska - Timmins
Empalme - Ciudad Obregon
Chihuahua - Ciudad Juarez (closer to city icon in eu)

Saltillo - San Luis Potosi (full name I believe)
Mazatlan - Las Mochis
Jalisco - Mazatlan (yet another map error)
Tlaxcala - Veracruz (This is one word)
Tehuantepec - Oaxaca
**Comment: NICARAGUA SHOULD GO TO ENGLAND**
Bahamas - Grand Bahama
Moron - Trinidad
Tortuga - Cap-Haitien
**Comment: It really amazes me that I never heard anybody complain about this, Dominica is in Guadeloupe's place! So Dominica should go to France and vice versa Guadeloupe to GBR, and the cities are as follows**
Dominica - Pointe-a-Pitre
Guadeloupe - Roseau
Martinique - Fort Royal
Cartagena - Cartagena des Indies (full name)
Caribe - Agnostura (now known as Ciudad Bolivar, but fat chance it was Cd. Bolivar in 1820 now is there?)
Apure - San Fernando
Montana - Yurimaguas (This, and the above are of the "Winsconsin" case)
Moquega - Arica
Arica - Antofagasta

Talca - Valdivia
Santa Cruz - Puerto Santa Cruz
Chubut - Puerto Deseado

Tucuman - Salta
Tindore - Tidore
Timor - Dili
Sumbawa - Bima (colony)
Salabanka - Bone
Makassar - Makasar
Selatan - Bandjarmasin

Sunda - Bantam
Ajeh - Kutaraha

Irrawady - Rangoon (It was renamed Yangon only recently)
Cochin - Tellicherry (The city of Cochin was on the south of this porvince and in Travancore territory)
Odisa - Cuttack
Bihar - Baharampur
Indus - Karachi (in this case Kalat doesn't have Karachi but I'm 99% sure that Karachi should be in Indus)
Gujarat - Surat
Kutch - Diu
**Comment: Kushka can't have Mazar-e-Sharif because it lies Northeast of Herat**
Afar - Harer (when the nation will be added)
Kenya - Kismaayo
Tanga - Tanga (city or colony)
Rufiji - Kilwa Kisiwani (likewise)
**Comment: Except the Angolan colony which is already worked out in game I agree with Pontecorvo upon the rest of the gulf of Guinea territory.

I think Richmond needs to be the one for Roanoke...As it will be the capital of the Confederate States in the AoN

That was... something :D

Some note I can see immidiately:
Malmö was a little unimportant town, should remain as it is.

It was discussed and agreed that Key West was more important than Miami. Don't ask me though, I didn't take part in that.

Reval is the German (and used) name of Tallinn. I don't know when it was "renamed" Tallinn though.

Guadelope and Dominica will stay as they are, because of simplicity (if not everyone diagree of course :)).

I'll implement these later tonight.

If you do the implementation put Richmond instead of Norfolk. I had no idea what was the capital of the CSA (hm, Fort Sumter comes to mind :))

BTW Sorry Txini, nobody's perfect :D

It doesn't really matter if the capital of Estonia is named Reval or Tallinn. Reval is the German and Swedish name of the city and Tallinn is the Estonian name (Means 'The Danish City' since it was founded by Danes). I don't know what name the Russians used for Tallinn though.

Miami didn't exist until 1880s, wasnt important until 1920s. Key West was the only American city in the "Everglades" province until late 20th C.

Washington can't be in cheasapeake. Please don't change any cities in the USA, as I spent quite a while evaluating them and I don't alot of the suggestsion work. For instance, cheasapeake is a port, as baltimore was (and an important one)... it makes no sense to put washington there.

I think you might have taken the city placement on the map too seriously. In all, this map isn't really that accurate to begin with, and I don't think putting in lesser cities to reflect the exact location of the graphics would enhance the game.

Just My opinion.

Okay

For Québec's provinces, (I'm a one) and the towns were sometimes mixed up.

Hochelaga - Montréal
Stadaconé - Québec
(With the accent aigu on the ''e'' please)
Shawinigan - Trois-Rivières (this is the good place for this town)
Mégantic - Boucherville
Ticonderoga - Fort Chambly (I don't know if St-Jean existed at that time)
Saguenay - La Baie
Laurentia - St-Jérôme
Ottawa - Cornwall (most of this area was colonised by english people)
Bas St-Laurent - Rimouski
Gaspésie - Gaspé

Everything north of Saguenay wasnt populated at all at that time. There should be TPs at this place.
