Cities Skylines - Windows 10 Edition patch?

Hello,

Xbox One owners received the 1.3 (I believe) patch last week.
Is there any news when the Windows 10 edition will receive this same patch?

I realize I posted this in the Xbox forum, but since both games share the same achievement list (and I suppose base code), and the Xbox version has more players, I thought I'd ask the question here
Furthermore, I don't see a dedicated "Cities: Skylines Windows 10 Edition" forum. Have I completely overlooked that? If so, pardon me

The Windows 10 version IS the Xbox version. Xbox is now a brand, not specifically just a console anymore. Many Windows 10 games released in the Windows 10 store fall under the Xbox brand now.

Like the OP I would also like an answer to this.

Actually, not. They are separate games developed by separate teams in separate studios. There is no sync between patches on one platform or the other, I'm afraid, each run their own race.

As far as I am aware Tantalus Media ported the game to the Xbox One and Windows 10 Store. The Windows 10 version has Xbox achievements, cloud saves, etc. It even has Xbox controller support. I specifically talking about the version on the Windows Store, not the Steam version which I know is different (I actually own both). If UWP was used they both should use the same exact code base.

EDIT: Unless you are saying it was two separate studios within Tantalus Media? In which case it still begs the question of where the patch is? Didn't realize you were a Paradox Support Rep.

Thank you. As said though they should both be the same exact code base, I assume they both use UWP. So any patch created for the Xbox version should be able to be released for the Windows 10 version without any significant changes. Anyway you could find out what the hold up is?

I really wish Xbox Play Anywhere was used for this game...

I agree, Play Anywhere would've been a better solution, from my point of view. Off course there were maybe technical limitations in order to implement mouse+keyboard support or so, but I can't judge on that.
In any case, still no patch as of today. I'm hoping it'll drop in the coming days. Iirc, the Win10 Store version also came out a week or 2 after the Xbox version...

I just hope they support it. I can't imagine it got many sales, for one they released it when the Steam version was on sale at full price and It's also slightly worse due to lack of all DLC's. This is the type of situation where play anywhere would have helped greatly.

Ok I'm going to bump this one...

For the last couple of days now, the game has been unplayable. Literally. The game doesn't even start up anymore, it is stuck at the loading screen. I checked the Win store, there are no updates for the game. Other people are also complaining about the same behavior (just have a look at the comments on the Windows Store).

I was able to live with the shortcomings of the game, while I could play it. That has even become impossible now. I really wish I could either trade in this version for the X1 version, or just have this as a Play Anywhere. (yeah, that last bit ain't gonna happen)

I sincerly hope that when the PS4 version comes out in a couple of weeks, a patch will be released for this as well.

On a sidenote, I found that when you completely disable internet, you're able to get past the loading screen. However, you have no saves anymore which you can load. So I'm guessing it has something to do with contacting the Tantalus or Paradox servers on startup...

I thought maybe it was a different build number as only a few recent installers were having issues.

Are you on the Win10 version or xbox version?

Did you manually check for updates? Not sure you want to though, if you haven't already.

Also, I did get an offline mode option once, but refused it. I think it was after I tried an uninstall and reinstall in hopes it was just a corrupt install.

I hope they do something quick. I don't want to play offline. and not sure it will give me the option next time.

I misstated my version number above. It is version 1.0.1.2 and not 1.0.2.1 I transposed the 2 and 1.

I contacted also the Paradox support regarding this Problem. I got the following answer:

Hey there!
This has been identified as a connection issue between Cities Skylines and Microsoft cloud servers. We have contacted Microsoft about this and are working on a solution but for the time being I'm afraid that there is nothing you can do but wait and stay patient. I fully understand this is frustrating but right now I don't have a solution. Sorry .
