The entire time I was reading Dev Diary 2A, I was thinking this just has to be some type of joke, or an early April fools joke until I got to the geometry part. Sadly I think it might be real.

I'm afraid to ask, but, was that a real Dev Diary on Steam?

Not really a fan of DLC, but I am all for more/expanded content. Functional over eye candy. If it adds something functional & of value, then not always a bad thing. But playing games like this where there's regular releases of DLC that screws up your existing saves, which may or may not include mods & user-content, it gets beyond off-putting. As a business you actually lose customers doing this even if you gain new ones. And I know this can't be helped, but many players would rather a game with less releases & polished/inclusive content to begin with from day one, even if it means having to pay more.

What would be extremely useful, is randomised Color for transport lines. So sick of having to manually change them & then figure out if I have that color already on an existing line.

Although it is sometimes very unpleasant (for a short while after every release) developing that much content from day one would also take time and many more people. So I think this DLC approach is probably the best there is. And less content and a more expensive game - we have/had SimCity for that :). As for losing customers - that may perhaps be true in some instances but I know of no other city building game I would like to play instead. In my eyes CS is the best there is and I enjoy every single bit of it. Not to mention they support Linux so it is a win-win scenario for me.

I need help trying to open the game on my computer: first time player of cities skyline

The best place to get help is by posting in the Bug and Support forum. The more detail you can give us, the easier it will be for us to help you. Do you get an errors? What happens when you press Play in Steam? Does the Launcher open? What happens when you press Play in the launcher? Do you get an error or does the game seem to start only to shut down again? If you can make a post answering all that in the Bug and Support forum then we'll be able to help you get the game running. :)

So here I am wondering why CO didn't bother with simply integrating MOM fully, as it is a far superior "product", and why there are still no marinas in the game - 5 whole years later. I just hope this is the last milking run you are doing and switching the focus to what we all really want here: A successor game.
