Cities: Skylines (Steam) - Unusual Sudden Simulation Lag

Sudden Lagging

What is your game version?
1.13.3-f9

What expansions do you have installed?
After Dark, Snowfall, Natural Disasters, Mass Transit, Parklife, Industries, Campus

What mods are you using?
I unsubscribed from all mods but still experience lagging issue.

Please explain your issue is in as much detail as possible.
While playing the game it will have random times where lag occurs and the time speed stops working. I've already tried running the game on the lowest settings and still experience lag. This is unusual because the past 3 months I was able to run the game smoothly on full speed and with a couple mods. I've also tried running another game and I don't experience lag. The issue began when I forcefully shut down my laptop. The next day the save I usually played was no longer on the loading menu although it was in the save file. That same day while playing other saves as well as new ones I began experiencing the lag.

Can you replicate the issue? If yes, please explain how you did it.

Let's try a **clean** reinstall:

- Remove the game from Steam (uninstall)
- unsubscribe from ALL mods and assets in the Steam Workshop for this game
- Manually delete all these files and folders, if still there:

...\Steam\steamapps\common\Cities_Skylines\
...\Steam\SteamApps\workshop\content\255710\
...\AppData\Local\Colossal Order\Cities_Skylines
(first move the /saves/ folder elsewhere to keep your save games)
(To see the AppData folder you'll need to enable View Hidden Items in File Explorer)

- Install the game again and see how it runs now.
- if it's okay you can start subscribing to mods again
