No flight routes to connect

What is your game version?
Cities: Skylines Deluxe Edition

What expansions do you have installed?

What mods are you using?
I deleted all my mods

Please explain your issue is in as much detail as possible.
There is no airport runway and no flight path to connect to another city.

Can you replicate the issue? If yes, please explain how you did it.
I turned on the building unlock mod to test and there were no flight paths to connect to and no runways. I deleted all the data and reinstalled the game but the error is still there

Connection is automatic. You place the airport (on flat ground) and it connects to the map's flight paths on its own.

really, maybe I was mistaken with an older version because it had to use air routes to connect to other cities. thanks so much

There are mods that will let you place your own runway and taxiways. And then there are helicopters and blimps, which need routes around the city. Either of those might be what you're thinking of.
