Describe your issue
No audio in the game at all

What is your game version?
1.13.3-f9

What expansions do you have installed?
(DID NOT ANSWER QUESTION)

What mods are you using?
None, I just installed it.

Please explain your issue is in as much detail as possible.
I only bought the game along with deluxe edition and ONLY deluxe edition, I did not install nor did I buy any other expansion packs. Just the base game and the deluxe upgrade. I then installed it, put it into the game menu and the audio doesn't work. Tried reconfiguring everything from the sound settings (setting priority and volume meters for the game) and even played background music with a separate program and the game still has no audio.

Can you replicate the issue? If yes, please explain how you did it.
I can restart the game over and over and play with the settings, and nothing would change.

Ah the audio devices related might be from my monitor (It's actually an old samsung LCD HDTV). It has two audio slots (One is an RCA connectorm the "S/PDIF" one, I don't think this is related to the issue). The other audio jack on the monitor was already broken since time immemorial (The T24C350, that's the model of the Samsung monitor).

Though I do honestly believe that the monitor audio jacks wasn't the issue. Microsoft drivers are smart enough to categorize all the different audio drivers and so far all of my other programs and games have been compliant to go through the specific outputs i put them to (Either front or back panels only). Quite impossible to have one random app/program to automatically slip off into different audio outputs since I haven't even got an audio mixer or whatnot.

Any help would be appreciated! Otherwise I might have to call for a refund. Thank you and stay safe!

Yep, Unity is failing to find any audio device:
FMOD failed to get number of drivers ... Error initializing output device.

My guess would be Unity is tripping up over one, as happens with the virtual Citrix display device for instance. I've never seen descriptions like these, "back panel, front panel' etc. And the phantom one with no driver or name is a worry, do you know what that is about?

I understand, the back panel front panel is just the audio jacks on my tower, i have it renamed as front panel and back panel (the back being connected directly to my motherboard, and the front, well, the front panel). I am in need of multiple audio jacks for hardware reasons, but never before had any program were to be tripping over this (maybe because in the audio settings menu they just detect all of the drivers which enable me to choose which jack i'd like to have it play audio on).

I tried re-tweaking on the system today, seems like the phantom audio driver was the issue. I'm not certain myself. But seems like my BIOS has the tendency to auto install "noice-cancellation" softwares that screws around with the system. This is new, even for me.

Issue is resolved. Seems like it was a problem on my end. Seems like the phantom driver trips everything over. Thanks for your help diagnosing, Andrew!
