MacOS Player: JavaScript Error on First Play After EVERY Reboot

What is your game version?
After every system reboot, I launch the Steam client and I can start the Paradox Launcher just fine. The moment I click PLAY on the launcher UI, I receive a JavaScript error and the game loads to the main menu. I close out of the game, click through the error message (twice) and relaunch the game without issue....until I reboot the next time.

What expansions do you have installed?


What mods are you using?
Using launch option "-noWorkshop -noMods" the error still occurs.

Please explain your issue is in as much detail as possible.

That's a launcher problem, nothing whatsoever to do with this game as such.

This may be a bug in the launcher, which seems to require MacOS 12 now. Were you at all thinking of updating MacOS? If so please do that and confirm for me that it helps, then I can report that to the developers.

Thanks for letting me know. I had an OS 12 update waiting for me, but no notification it was there. I'll update my system tomorrow and report back.

The MacOS 12 update resolved the issue. Thanks for taking the time to reply to me with the suggestion.

Unfortunately, this issue still exists. It only seems to throw the java error after I reboot and try to launch the game.
The Steam Client loads fine. I double click on Cities: Skylines and it opens the C:S Paradox Launcher. When I click play, I get the attached error.
Again, I typically only does this the first load after I reboot.

Please delete the ~/Library/Application Support/Paradox Interactive/ folder. To see it go to the Finder, hit command-shift-G (ie Go To) and paste in ~/Library/Application Support/ . Then run the game from the PLAY Button in Steam, to reinstall the launcher.

If that does not get the launcher running, we will need these files from that same folder:

Attach ALL .log files Found here ~/Library/Application Support/Paradox Interactive/launcher-v2/

There is no ~/Library/Application Support/Paradox Interactive/ folder. See attached screenshot of ~/Library/Application Support/ and you'll see it's not there.

That still doesn't look right. In Finder-View enable View Path Bar which shows at the bottom the whole file path - does that say you are in /Users/LemonFiles/Library/Application Support/ ?

Attached is a larger image of the directory. It's the correct directory. I literally followed your instructions and searched for ~/Library/Application Support/ and that's the folder that appears.

Side Note: Since the most recent Steam Client update, I haven't received that error.

I'm afraid that is the wrong place again. See how Library is a root folder under Macintosh HD there, it is not the one under your User folder?

What we need to see there is /Users/LemonFiles/Library/Application Support/ !
