i cant launch cities: skylines on steam anymore . this problem started about a year ago. i have tried doing many fixes i found on forums but it still wont launch . i click play it says running for 5 secs then play button returns

What is your game version?
not sure just reinstalled today and wont laqunch

What expansions do you have installed?
After Dark, Snowfall, Natural Disasters, Mass Transit, Green Cities, Industries, Campus, Sunset Harbor

What mods are you using?
none

Please explain your issue is in as much detail as possible.
game will not launch on steam , i click the play button it says running for 5 secs then back to play , this started about a year ago , i have tried many forum fixes i have found but nothing works. i have updated drivers , verified game files, disabled addons, bypassed firewall

Can you replicate the issue? If yes, please explain how you did it.

You can bypass the launcher by following these instructions:

- Download the attached cities.bat.zip file
- extract cities.bat from it
- Place the .bat file in your game's Steam folder (In the same place as your cities.exe)
- Right click the game in your Steam library
- Go to properties
- Select Set Launch Options
- Copy and Paste cities.bat %command% into the input box
- Select Ok
- Run the game
