Description
I can not start my saved game

What is your game version?
1.11.1-f2

What expansions do you have installed?

Please explain your issue is in as much detail as possible.
Hello,
for already 2 weeks I am unable to load my saved game. The game itself starts, but stops when loading my score the loading bar at about 75% and moves even after a long wait no longer from the spot. However, an error message is not displayed to me. Previously, the game has worked well on my computer. Mods have all been disabled, but the problem described above still occurs.
I hope anyone can help me with my problem so that I can build on my city as soon as possible. :)

In the attachments you can see my output log of the game and the loading screen.

Can you replicate the issue? If yes, please explain how you did it.

You most likely have to many assets installed. Disabling mods doesn't remove the effect from these.
In your Steam Library right-click on this game and choose Properties. Click on Set Launch Options, and paste this in there:

-noWorkshop -disableMods

Can you then start and play a new test city?

Thank you for your fast reply. I have now followed their steps, but unfortunately nothing changes in my problem. So my score still does not load. I was able to create a new city successfully earlier and start it without any problems, but I would like to continue building on my old city :)

Hmm, the log isn't showing the typical error when something is missing, but I see an error related to roads. Do you use any custom roads which have updated recently?

It's also worth verifying the game files just in case you haven't done that yet. Go to the library in Steam, right click on Cities and select Properties, go to the tab Local Files and click on "Verify integrity of game files". That might take a bit to do.

Lastly do you happen to have any other versions of the same save? Like a previous version or an autosave? Just to check if they're loading fine.

Try to subscribe the "Loading screen mod" and looks where it stops to load correctly.

I'm having the same problem since December 22, it never completes the load, stucks in the "Simulation: Building Manager" section of the "Loading Screen Mod"

Hello,
thanks for the quick reply.
Yes, I've used custom roads, but they've already been disabled or removed, as "akeela84" recommended.
The spelled files I've just checked for your instructions.
Unfortunately, nothing about my problem changes. Not even if I try to load a previous autosave file of the game.

Disabling mods and assets that a save needs often cause more problems than it fixes. Custom roads can be removed without breaking the save in an unmodded game, but with certain mods removing those roads breaks the save. The same goes for any mod that adds a network. The log in the first post is from an attempt with everything enabled like normal right? Can we get a log from when you tried with everything off like Akeela84 suggested? To see what (if anything) has changed.

According to the mod you have suggested, the load stops in the "Simulation: Object reference not sent to an instance of an object" section of the "Loading Screen Mod"

The log file from the first post was from a load attempt in which all mods were disabled but not removed. Likewise, this file comes before I have made any changes that have been suggested to me here. I like to attach the output_log file to this answer, in which I start the game, as described by "Akeela84"

After having the same error for couple of times, i managed to find out what is exact issue.

An broken asset.
In my case it was huge junkyard, called Schrottlatz 2.0

Aperantly, after first time i got this error and loading previous save gane which was from way before, i've rebuilt my city, but this time with saving each file separately (no overwrites).
And then it happened again. So i loaded last save, this time it was only 1 district lost, and started rebuilding it part by part with separately saving each. Turns out, as sun as i placed this huge asset, save game wont load, and stucks at simulation: building manager.
So, even if you might not use the same asset, you are using one that is bugged, and messes your game.
