Describe your issue
Cims use intercity trains instead of internal lines to travel in the city

What is your game version?
1.14.1-f2

What expansions do you have installed?
Mass Transit, Green Cities, Parklife, Industries, Campus, Sunset Harbor

What mods are you using?
SingleTrainTrackAI, Railway Replacer, Advanced Stop Selection (ex MTSE), One-Way Train Tracks

Please explain your issue is in as much detail as possible.
Cims don't use the internal lines to travel, they wait for intercity trains to go places where there is no train station, and spawn over there. I tried with different station and tracks but the problem continues, I don't know if this is related to the problem with the allow intercity trains button not working.

Can you replicate the issue? If yes, please explain how you did it.
Attached save file shows train line with multiple station types and no cims using them.

Intercity Trains just means trains from the outside connection can enter your city. These are good for tourists ands freight entering your city from the outside connections. or disabled will block them. It can bring in other cims as well. but tourism/freight thrive on them. Same for planes and ships.

Your train paths are for your local passenger train lines only.

I know how they work, but the problem here is that cims of my city use the intercity trians to spawn at their work place (for example) in the city limits, instead of using local trians or bus lines, not making incomes from the tickets. The only passengers who use the local train are some workers of the train station.

I'm not sure why you think it is not how it should work.

Intercity trains are from the outside connection. so cims will use them to come into your city or go back to the outside connection.

Your local cims are staying local. i.e. workers are your local cims. Tourist will use local trains if you provide a place for them to go.

Tourists are living in the outside connection, so they come in and leave through intercity trains.

FYI, transportation is not meant to make a profit. Just like real life. Our IRL city area used to be free buses for the summer, this would get people to take the bus to the city to spend money in businesses and not on city maintenance fees.

Remember, there are several types of cims, so maybe look closer at the cim types at stops and stations. I'm sure you'll see them all going to different places. You can even click on a cim and it will tell you where it is from and when its next destination is. This will give you an idea of where cims want to go, so you can plat transportation options more clearly.

If I get time later, I'll try to check on the train stations a little more closely.

I forgot about this screenshot. It shows the extremely long trains that come through. it bugs out as it starts taking off again and the rear wagons cut across the grass.

Yes, I already tried to do that to see why there were so many passengers waiting at the station that only receives intercity trains and I found that among the tourists who left the city there were also people who went to their place of work within the city, as you can see in the pictures (sorry the info is in spanish)

Here is another one who was waiting at the same station going to his workplace on the intercity train.

Another thing I notice is that the stations are empty until you select the intercity train button and at that moment the local cims use it but not on the local lines. (In the left is the local train stop, that is empty, and the right is the one for intercity)

I'm back. I am looking at these two train stations and they are not5 getting any passengers, but I also noticed they aren't vanilla stations. I replaced the end station with the vanilla passenger station and it is working fine.

Maybe look up which train stations you are using. Maybe they are customized for certain mods to make them work?

I didn't noticed that you had the mod to allow intercity trains. So, I couldn't disable them.

But everything seems fine now.

It seems that one of the required mods for the stations is the Extra Train Station Tracks ( ETST) , and after the update of airports it is having some compatibility problems due to what other users report in the mod workshop, so maybe thats why vanilla station works fine.
