Describe your issue
Can't connect ramped road to pedestrian street

What is your game version?
1.15.0-F7

What expansions do you have installed?

What mods are you using?

None

Please explain your issue is in as much detail as possible.
Okay.... what's wrong with this picture? For some reason I can't connect a ramped road to a pedestrian street. This happens with any type of zonable road or highway. You can connect ground roads and tunnels to pedestrian streets, but any attempt to connect a ramp just gives you a "These types of roads can not be connected" message. That makes no sense. Pedestrian streets with bus lanes remain unaffected. Train and metro track ramps also connect fine, but tram tracks also give the same error message. Is it just me or should this be fixed in the next patch?

Can you replicate the issue? If yes, please explain how you did it.
Happens all the time

Not a bug. Pedestrian streets cannot be connected to regular elevated roads, which include ramps. Please create a section of the regular road on the ground before elevating it.

Players do have these kind of needs, and these road connections make sense in the real world. I think there should be a way to be able to do this.

If not a bug, then at least a poor design choice. For example, what happens if players want to connect a road bridge to an island pedestrian area? You can't, because this crap happens:

I totally understand not wanting elevated roads and pedestrian streets intersecting, but this shouldn't be a problem if the connection node is on the ground like in this screenshot. I really hope CO fixes this. On a side note, pedestrian street tunnels should be a thing. Sometimes rough terrain requires a tunnel in a pedestrian area, but at present you can't build any. Another developer oversight. :(

True this is a good example why we need this. If this is a poor design choice, hope this be fixed, also the tuunel version.

It's even better than that. You can't connect elevated pedestrian streets to OTHER *elevated pedestrian streets* if they're not the same type. For example: if I'm using "Small Sandstone Pedestrian Street with Tram Tracks," I cannot connect "Small Sandstone Pedestrian Street" to it if both pieces are elevated. This makes zero sense, especially since you can do this if these pieces are on the ground.

This only happens with the elevated versions of these assets. I have a difficult time accepting such inconsistent behavior as being anything but a bug.

It is not a bug. It has to do with how elevated networks are different from ground networks. It's simply a limitation that fully pedestrian streets cannot intersect with regular roads or pedestrian streets with bus/tram tracks when they're elevated.
