Cities Skylines needs to improve their population system.

You could have a city that's only high dense buildings and struggle to reach a population of 500K, even if the city is tiles and tiles big.

Indeed. The amount of people living in houses is increasingly bigger than in buildings. It would be awesome if realistic habitants number were implemented.
