I am looking forward to this DLC, unlike that stupid Art Deco one (Pay for Mods tactic). I am hoping that the vehicle and citizen units are doubled and Unity gets upgraded to the latest DirectX/OpenGL API.

Nice to hear cities is still getting additions, hopefully you'll keep them coming.. Personally I do have to admit that this one doesn't interest me in the slightest, but hopefully you will get to adding ferries, sailboats and such in the future. And real tourism pack would be very welcome too. I know you have limited resrouces and do what makes sense to you and I'm not trying to be dismissive of your efforts, but like many others here, I'm also just telling you how you'll get me to open my wallet again :)

Hm, unfortunately I have to include myself in the list of people who aren't interested in the topic of the DLC.
Nevertherless I hope that it sells well enough, to pay for thje development of other DLCs (that hopefully are moreinteresting for me)

Agreed - This DLC is so useless that it should be free.. Such a shame.. I have all DLC's expect the Stadium pack and this one will not be on my listed either.

OK, first of all, natural disasters would NOT have been my top choice for the next DLC (monorails, water taxis and more built-in transit options would be my preference), so I'm not really too excited about this release.

HOWEVER, I don't think all the negativity on CO is justified, IMHO. These are the folks who rescued the entire city builder genre from the jaws of death (or pretty darn close to that!) They've built an amazing game that I'm still enjoying after 400 hours of play time. Do I like all their DLC choices? No! But they have done such a wickedly awesome job so far, I trust them to be taking this franchise in a good direction.

Besides, they've released some really good DLC content that wasn't even a part of the core offering. I may be remembering wrong, but didn't trams come with Snowfall? I had no interest in Snowfall's core concept, but I happily paid the DLC cost just to get those freakin' awesome trams!

So, yes, I will be buying this one too. And even if I don't use much of the content, I will be voting with my wallet to show CO (and Paradox) that continued investment in this game is going to keep paying off. Maybe I'll get my Super-Transit DLC next time!

Haha it's the only game I play, I used to play Prison Architect but Cities Skylines is way more funner, I've played 360 hours so far, I will buy every DLC they have because it's so fun to play :p.

Including planning with early warning systems and emergency routes, devastating and destructive disaster effects, and caring for the populace as they struggle to rebuild.

I am hoping there would be seawalls in for fending off tsunamis, and using them properly would make the smaller ones only wet the fisherman's feet who was fishing on top of the seawall. :) (and also add on the excitement that will the wall hold if it's a larger tsunami

(if not here's a suggestion ;))

I'll scrounge some bottle caps to get this one.

But I am really looking forward to the

UNNATURAL DISASTERS!!!

Alien abduction - flying saucer comes, goes, takes someone away, causes traffic jam and twitchy news
Spaceship crash - flying saucer crashes on city, panic ensues
Giant monster invasion - With giant robot to fight against him while the city is broken apart
Dam burst
Zombie outbreak

etc.

I'll be skipping this one, I cant see the point. SC4 had disasters, I played that game for 1,000s upon 1,000s of hours, played with disasters for 0.0000000001% of that. Then reloaded once I was done and pretended it never happened. Its fun for 5 mins.

LP's have been a hoot. Only one thing, though:

Needs moar firenado!
<clip removed>

That's like the worst of the worst in the world!

From what I understand about 'nados, this is essentially a land spout tornado which is formed by the lifting winds caused by the heat along with the cross winds that creating the rotation. These cross winds are created by the fire pulling in the surrounding air so the only source of lift is the fire and there is no other wind, horizontally, the fire-nado remains stationary unlike a land spout, water spout or supercell borne tornado, which would move along a storm front.

It's pretty cool to watch, but very scary and evil!
