What sort of more might be coming?

Also as someone who has been trying to get the game running on an average new but low end computer (as my computer has died and I haven't got a new one yet so am borrowing), it really doesn't run on low end computers, stellaris and CK2 run alot better. Even older gaming laptops run it slow, I mean lightspeed to my current attempt, but still slow.

yes, thats only an Alibi, with the "low computer specs"

You can do Like in GTA 5 .... I cannot play this game on the highest graphs, BUT: the specs set itself automatic to my own computer specs

There are many excellent ideas in here, and great comments =) Remember that CO has a lot of great additions planned for this game, so even if you don't like Disasters or the Scenario Editor or the other features coming out now... there's more coming!

There are also a lot of incorrect assumptions, mostly about traffic AI, or over-excessive use of the word "simply"

I'm going to pipe in and correct one of them:

Cities: Skylines, in contrary to what a few people with high-end gaming PC's think, is not catering to low-end computers. The requirements are actually a bit above the average PC owned globally. I don't know where this idea came from that everybody is using i7's and has 32GB of RAM just because you are... it's a very illogical assumption.

You have misquoted T.P.B. It was I that made the reference to my i7 32Gb system that I've been running for years. I very much know that this is a high end build and I don't believe I said everyone is running one however I'd love to know what you guys think are todays average build spec and where you get this information from. Other developers, particularly the AAA types never worry about holding back on system requirements so why should you. It pretty much a universal understanding that decent game should never been played on laptops unless you have a high end gaming laptop. It has been my experience that most if not all PC gamers run self built systems or have bought a self built system from someone else. This is not reflected (to my knowledge) in world wide PC sales which really only show the sale of business and office systems. I don't know anyone that has a prebuilt gaming rig!

I would say to you Sir that you are drawing your own illogical assumptions.

Some people has to accept some things about this game, such as traffic ai design or specs requirement that CO & PI must follow...

DO THE RIGHT THING:

Have a disasters menu so the player can play god and just spawn a disaster at any time, anywhere. They could also start at random.
A city should have a "spontaneous disasters on/off" setting, so that people who don't want disasters breaking up their beautiful cities are not annoyed.

Scenario editor should be able to override/disable this disaster on/off flag.

Scenario editor should have the possibility of setting a timeline with predefined events (disasters) at certain dates, to make a known challenge.

Nice, but I rather have the AA fixed as well, what to expect? Jagged disasters? I'm still trying to find a DEV post regarding the AA issues, if anyone can direct me to it, thanks.
It's a great game on a lot of levels, but right now, I can't immerse myself in it as I have to run to the restroom every hour when the jaggies get the best of me...................

PS : Don't give me the MODS for AA, I know about them and jaggies persist. I also don't want Dynamic Resolution, that's not a fix but a "workaround" that just adds useless strain on systems ( especially when jaggies still persist ). This needs to be fixed by official means and not "workaround" MODS.

On regular city unlock progress, the menu to spawn disasters at will can have gamified unlocks, like city building tools.

They could be attached to milestones upon recovering from other, more basic disasters to progressively be able to spawn/fix them.

There should be an option to have them start unlocked, like the infinite money thing.

I do like this DLC and i may buy it in the future, but i have to agree with many here, i am disappointed this is coming out when the transportation system really needs fixed/ add to and or remodeled. This is for me a huge requirement over everything else. After this maybe add much more control of finances, tourism, insurance agency's or natural and unnatural causes maybe. Vehicle accidents, train derailments with a lot of traffic and SO MUCH MORE. We have in reality what he got but it'll be very nice to see a great many more different types of commercial businesses, Housing projects, district expansion options for higher wealth or very poor wealth.. the list goes on and on....

So they go to GC just to announce a DLC with no announcement on the xbox version, which they announced last year, why can't you guys be straight and say its cancelled, i have an HP stream 11 netbook which would never run this game but i have an xbox one which will and tbh i really want to play CS, fair enough adding disasters like SimCity is a good idea but when theres no news in a year about an xbox one version it kind of makes us xbox one users think if it is ever going to be released on our beloved consoles.
Then get yourself a CBPC (custom built personal computer) i have one i built myself and did it cheaper than the retail ones for less then half the price but runs 5x better. They are coming back, BIG corp companies is doing their best to make them obsolete (it'll never happen).

for flooding:
what about houses built on "stilts" (hope this word is correct)? dams to prevent?
floodings for coasts, flooding for rivers (for e.g. heavy rain in the mountains causes river-flooding)

for volcanos, eathquakes:
sensors for early warnings

for nuclear desasters:
an adjustable % for better maintenance (better = less chance for an accident)

for asteroids:
build more detection buildings

for ufos:
aluminium-hats :D

for mass epidemic:
special hospital units, like the CDC, which you can build like cemetery and will "fill" up with ill people

for riots:
special police units

and so on...
I have been wondering that my self for a long time, we have roads that can be raised/stilted so why not do the same with building structures.

Thanks for the feedback Mr Jay, indeed it would not make sense to start working on a sequel without taking lessons learned with previous experiences. We however feel that there's still much we can do with Cities: Skylines and therefore a sequel is not something that should be started right away, especially given that the technology hasn't evolved that much that we could do infinitely better.
I'm sorry but I have to Respectively strongly disagree with that, I have a CBPC (custom Built personal computer) its near high end, it will more than handle that type of game. I originally built my machine to play Star Citizen cause you must have a high end pc to play it. I know a great many may not have a CBPC but even a standard retail bought pc can handle it, as for a console platform... nope never will handle it.. unless they evolve to a high end pc standard.

P.S I love CS, i used to play SC and also "liked" some of those features and wished to see something close to it here but can have everything lol. Never go down the road they did an kill the game lol and I'll play this game for life.

Disaster request:

Nuclear plant meltdowns and radiation pollution. A very dangerous and lasting pollution that would devastate a large area of the map. So there would need to be serious precautions in place: Better [nuclear] education, fire safety and a warning system so the player can shut down the nuclear plant. But once a meltdown has occurred the radiation pollution would stay there for a very long time. There would need to be ways to clean it up, although it would have limited effect. And human presence in radiation polluted areas would be undesired.

That's why I currently place my nuclear plant in the corner of the map :D

There is nothing natural in a nuclear meltdown. ;)
