If XXL and XL are as similar as people say then mods might actually be cross-compatible, lol.

Dear god no, XL buildings have horrible textures... they look as if they've been baked on from a google image. Cities Skylines has a completely different art-style where the buildings both model and textures are much more detailed and specific, Cities XL mods would look out of place and disgusting in this game.

yeah, C:SL <-> CXL cross compatibility: Big NO NO. Different art style, different looks,...

but i remember, that there were some mods that imported City life buildings to cxl, they didn't look out of place, at all. Only extremely huge in comparison :D

don't forget steam workshop also, so it will be a complete mess to find mods, i can already predict this.

Not at all. The mods can be linked to an offsite location, such as steam workshop. There is no duplicate hosting, unless it is wanted by the author, just another location. More traffic/publicity and convenient for the mod author/website :)

A lot of people have been complaining about workshop and I agree with them. Workshop sucks and is only friendly for those who get lots of downloads and then the others get forgotten. The lack of organization is also annoying. In my opinion its better to have a site dedicated to the game, and a dedicated mods section, organized. Its unfortunate that XL Nation also decided to host CSL mods, though I can understand they feel the pressure of the dying XL/XXL series...

Hmm, is Simtropolis hosting Cities Skylines mods? I think no at the moment...

Hey, Paradox! We need an official site, and a good one :D

Edit. I don't think that everyone will be using CSL Nation... That's why. And honestly workshop sucks.

Paradox doesn't need to put resources in a modding site. CSL Nation is here and Paradox should put effort in other things. We can all agree workshop sucks and CLS Nation is a better version of it, lets just make the best of it, make sure people know about it, especially modders.

And Simtropolis seems to be living on with Simcity 4/2013, but it won't host CLS mods.

We're going to support all PDX community sites that uphold our standards of quality and - most importantly - moderation.

CSL Nation looks to be an awesome site so far and we believe they will be doing a good job supporting modders :)

Frode789 can you please change that we don't have to sign up to view content? It's very inconvenient and personally discouraging me to use your site.

What can't you view exactly? You can view articles, forum posts, resources, you can do all that as a guest.

If you want to actually post, or download, then yes of course you will have to register. But you can view it all as a guest.
